JÁNOS ZERKULA & THE SZIGONY ENSEMBLE
Zerkula És A Szigony Zenekar
FolkEurópa FECD006 (2002)
Janós Zerkula, now 74, is a very fine player and occasionally singer in the
village dance music tradition of the Csángó people of Gyimes and Moldva. His
fiddle, with its fifth resonating string, scampers with undiminished finesse and
spirit in company with the furulya, contra and throbbing gardony of revival
ensemble Szigony. www.folkeuropa.com
