Excellently-packaged album from Wimme Saari, one of the most adventurous of Sami joikers. Initially appealing atmospherics, arranged by Tapani Rinne and other members of innovative ambient band RinneRadio with which Saari sometimes sings, support and give contrast, but in drawing the project into ambient territory don’t fully explore the depth and distinctiveness of joiking and Saari’s progressive developments. A milestone for Finnish Sami music nevertheless.
