VRBOVSKÍ VÍT'AZI

Pohoda TV 0005-2 (2005)
Wacky Slovakian Jobus brother duo accompany their short Carpathian-folk style
songs on wind instruments largely home-made, including plumbing pipe fujaras,
vacuum cleaner and inflatable toy cow bagpipes, in partly live album. Audio
alone doesn’t convey, and a lot is speech, in Slovak, but they seem entertaining
live. www.chrbaty.sk

(2009 note: Since then I've seen the brothers live
when they performed at London's "Celebrating Sanctuary" festival, where during
an indeed wacky set featuring among other constructions a 4-meter tall
plumbing-pipe double fujara I gathered their songs had lyrics drawn from the
operating manuals for industrial equipment!)
