Vents d’Est VDE 10796 (1996)

Live recording of Michel Montanaro’s project with band assembled from Ghýmes, Vujicsics et al., here with Pedro Aledo (Spain), René Sette (Provence) and Gulseren Yildirim (Turkey). Good musicians, interesting meetings and fine moments, but the spirit doesn’t fully come across in just audio, and there’s a sense of lack of the structural cohesion of the constituent highly-developed traditions.
