Norwegian trio who’ve discovered the audience rousing potential of Seth Lakeman-like fiddle shuffle, but using three hardanger fiddles, plus guests including rhythm section. It’s an impressive big hefty noise, and becoming popular, but on this debut the relentlessness of their fiddle-sawing approach, and Tuva Syvertsen’s rock-cabaret vocals that rarely back off from over the top, can become wearing. www.grappa.no
