The ever-adventurous Norwegian singer moves away from trad material for this album of her own minimalist, primal lyrics drifting in a spacious acoustic and electronic soundscape. It would sound wonderful in a modern art gallery. That’s not a criticism; white-walled visual-art mausolea badly need sound design (and indeed Løvlid’s last CD was recorded in Oslo’s Vigeland Mausoleum). www.grappa.no
