Very smart indeed; a beautifully cohesive quartet playing tunes from their home island of Gotland, south Sweden and originals, in a style often almost renaissance, sometimes Turkish-tinged, in exquisite arrangements with tremendous lift and mighty skill. Pontus Estling’s clarinet, bass clarinet, harmonica and Swedish bagpipe, Sheshti Johansson’s fiddle, Erik Ronström’s guitar and Jens Linell’s meaty tambourine. www.sjelvar.com
