Two more in the fine, and excellently documented, 25-CD Musica Sveciae
series: unaccompanied songs, ballads and joiks recorded mostly in 1971-3 in the
largely Finnish-speaking NE Swedish region of Tornedalen, and polskas, bridal
marches and waltzes from solo fiddlers and diddlers recorded in 1951 by Matts
Arnberg in Jämtland, halfway up Sweden’s border with Norway, land of the famous
19thC fiddler Lapp-Nils.
