Swirling, thumping wedding and dance music on fiddle, chromatic button accordion, neck-slung cimbalom, voice, drum with cymbal, jew’s harp and the leaf-like mouth-squeaker known as plonka, from a leading Gypsy family band of Ukraine’s upper Tisza region, playing the local traditional Máramarosian Rusin mix of Ukrainian, Romanian, Gypsy, Jewish, Russian and Hungarian tunes. www.passiondiscs.co.uk
