Compositions on Indian forms by Swedish 5-string banjoist Bengt Johansson played with Emma Reid’s fiddle, Emma Johansson’s alto flute and Petter Berndalen’s ever-acute percussion. Smart, creative and natural, the instrumentation and Swedish trad perspective pulls it west from India in sound, to a new land that occasionally seems slightly Bulgarian. www.myspace.com/tandoorimusic
