GO’ Danish GO1113 (2013)
Songs and tunes from Danish tradition to which Anne Roed Refshauge takes a
considerably classically-trained vocal approach, but she’s a fine singer and
it’s done tradition-understandingly by the trio with beautifully-played,
spirited arrangements of interesting material on fiddle and piano plus guest
flugelhorn and cello; a shining example to some classical singers’
uncomprehending patronisation of ‘a simple folk song’.
