Often with a parlour-classical sort of melodic shape, not deeply polska-syncopated, many of these tunes from the Swedish island of Gotland, played here mostly solo by one of its best-known fiddlers (1911-1994), would fall under the fingers of British Isles fiddlers and could easily slide into their repertoire.
