Lithuanian traditional vocal and instrumental band Sutaras meets leading jazz band in songs from G. Krivickiene-Gustaityte’s book Vilnius In Lithuanian Folksongs. Sometimes sort of works, but the Pulauskas Group tend to default to their comfort zone of pretty well-played US-style jazz, only rarely seeming to internalise and be inspired by the folksongs, and not much flexing audible from Sutaras either. www.sutaras.lt
