Swede Joons returns to her family’s Estonian roots with a sparse, reflective album of traditional songs and hymns from the Swedish enclaves of west-coast Estonia, mostly her unaccompanied voice or that of the Estonian Hainsoo or Garmarna’s Härdelin, with occasional touches of bowed lyre, zither or Janne Stromstedt’s harmonium. www.johanson.ee
