The deep, velvety intertwining of Maria Arnqvist’s alto sax and Cecilia Österholm’s nyckelharpa leaps surprisingly for much of this second CD into dense, wild heftiness, sometimes evoking the meatiness of 90s Swedish folk-rocky bands, with wordless filmic vocals, churning Hammond, muscular Norwegian-type drumkit, African-style electric guitar, wheezing harmonium.
