SAUCEJAS
En Concert À Paris
Boréales 3788732 (2014)
Close-interval Latvian vocal polyphony reconstructed by female
octet. Interesting material, well sung, but academicised by the
out-of-context concert situation and inclusion of all the polite
applause for each of the over 20 short songs. Their 2012 CD Dziediet,
Meitas, Vokora on Lauska, reviewed in fR 359, is far
better.
