Vancouver-based Chinese female plucked-string quartet, led by zheng player Mei Han with pipa, liuqin, ruan and sanxian (all Chinese lutes), in muscular, spirited arrangements of Chinese trad pieces plus one from Borneo, a waltz, a bluegrass collaboration that’s probably more fun live than interesting on record, and a remarkably effective treatment of a Bulgarian horo. www.asza.com
