BEGOÑA OLAVIDE
Toques En El Tempo
Jubal JMPA004 (2001)
Accompanying herself on medieval gut-strung psaltery, qanun and occasional
percussion, rich-voiced Almería-based Spanish singer, combining early-music and
Arabic influences, performs her own settings of songs in Spanish and Arabic from
Spain’s Al-Andalus period, ballad romance tradition and 14th-17th century texts.
