OGNJEN I PRIJATELJI
Balkan Rumba
Ring Ring B92CD 201 (2001)

Ace Serbian clarinet, sax and kaval player Ognjen Popović leads octet of flute, second clarinet, accordion, guitar, electric bass, percussion in his own and trad tunes (not rumba). Granted, clarinet is quite a mellow sound and Popović a thoughtful player, but this studio recording, while pleasant, has a rather muted character; live they would presumably have more fizz and charisma.
