Double CD of solo hardingfele by many-times national champion who died in 1989 aged only 58. Few recordings have been previously available of this star from Hallingdal; these 42 NRK-recorded tracks show his excellence, with a sound so full and shimmering with ringing strings, flying phrases and overlapping rhythms that he often sounds like two players. www.talik.no
