Since its near-extinction by the mid 20thC, nyckelharpa might now be the world’s
most rapidly popularising stringed instrument. Here it’s played by Eric Rydvall
with Magnus Zetterlund’s mandolin and Anders Löfberg’s cello in often
non-trad-style original tunes, with occasional vocals including a fine
declamatory one from Senegal’s Mamadou Sene.
