Tunes associated with Christmas from folk and early-music repertoires of Norway and across Europe, played on renaissance lute, theorbo, baroque guitar, vihuela and chitarra battente by regarded Italian-resident Norwegian lutenist Lislevand and Italian triple-harpist Giovanni Pessi. Non-kitschy in material, treatment and packaging, it’s excellently played and richly recorded. www.kkv.no
