LISE LUNDE BRENNHAGEN
Kjeringe I Snødrevet - Traditional langeleik playing from Valdres
Etnisk Musikklubb EM61 (2012)
One of a very few CDs devoted to Norway’s long swelling-rectangle variant of the
European fretted zither, on which, as with Appalachian dulcimer, hummel,
épinette des Vosges and others, a fretted string plays melody against open drone
strings. Leading young player Lise from langeleik’s heartland, Valdres, plays
hallings, lydarlåtts, springars and a polka.
