Live double CD from 15 year collaborating Bulgarian female folk choir, Tuvan throat-singing and horsehead-fiddle ensemble and Moscow multi-instrumental roots/new-music trio including Sergey Starostin, in part trad, part new works mostly by MAT’s Misha Alperin. Mighty impressive and beautiful, a grainy blend of soaring and grinding, but somehow contextless, with no notes on the songs’ meaning or who does what.
