Bagpipes Of Galicia
ARC EUCD 1684 (2001)

Young pipe band of 17 gaitas, 6 pandeiretas and bass drum but forsaking skin-headed side-drums for the thin-tappety Scottish plastic-headed kind, plus occasional guest strings or naff and plodding keyboards, play Galician, Bourbonnais, Irish and Shaun Davey tunes. For the glories of Galician gaita, which are manifold, magnificent and anyway not a massed-band thing, look elsewhere.
