LA JAMBRE
Las Lunas De Astarte
Bujío BJPS 165 (2007)
Villancicos, processional marches, pasacalles, seasonal songs, lullabies; the
rural traditional music of Andalucía is far from flamenco. Andalus folk octet La
Jambre sing and play arrangements of a selection with gusto, using traditional
and other instrumentation including guitars, oud, baglama, brass, reeds,
bagpipes, flutes, bass and drums.
