Highly regarded on the Norwegian folk scene, Rysstad uses his serene light voice with restrained, calm reflectiveness, perhaps slightly unvaryingly so, in traditional and new songs, with elegant accompaniments led by guitarists Trym Bjønnes and Knut Reiersrud, the latter showing his customary perfect judgement on acoustic and electric slides.
