KEPA JUNKERA
K

EMI HispaVox 7243 5 90629 2 1 (2003)

In-concert double album of triki-tunes from diatonic accordion star Kepa with his band plus guests. Obviously celebratory for the live audience, but as audio-only, despite interesting moments including powerful blasts of La Bottine’s brass section, the zip he’s capable of seems weighed down by the major-event scenario, by surprisingly plodding electric bass, and also by the absence of the joyful skittering tambourine that’s a key component of trikitixa.
