Bremnes is a glorious singer, her majestic voice serenely intelligent and slightly world-weary, floating over her perfect band’s massive, spacious blue-lit sounds, with mighty slide guitar waves and gutty, slapping pulses of Mari Boine drummer Helge Norbakken in astonishingly high quality live recordings from German 2007 tour. Songs, mainly her own, not at all trad but deeply Norwegian. www.kkv.no
