Sámi joiking rarely works well with chords. But there are none of them in this Norwegian-based band’s line-up, just Andreas Fliflet’s bass and three percussionists including Väsen’s inventive André Ferrari, so the songs delivered by female joiker Marit Hætta Øverli get plenty of melodic and rhythmic freedom.
