Musicians and institutions in the Nordic countries are positively incorporating musicians from their increasing immigrant communities in events and collaborations. Here are Finnish residents of Jamaican, Cuban, Brazilian, Balkan, Turkish, Kurdish, Moroccan and Congolese origin, and the Senegalese band Galaxy which contains one of the world’s most dazzling tama players, Yamar Thiam.
