HURDY-GURDY
Prototyp

NorthSide NSD 6084 (2005)

Garmarna’s Stefan Brisland-Ferner and Hedningarna’s Totte Mattsson in an album in which everything heard, including percussion, bass and voice-like effects, is made by laptop-manipulating the sounds of their hurdy-gurdies. Ingenious work producing useful drone-rock sounds, but moves virtual rather than real air and craves extra melodic and human input to be an album.
