Høgemo is one of Norway’s finest Hardanger-fiddlers, and plays excellently here in swingy, dancey rudls, springars and more, but the clicking percussion and bass guitar, while initially appealing, is likely to pall before it hypnotises. It eventually does, though; anyway, the closer’s kora-ish guitar is well worth skipping to.
