Finnish quartet with sparse archaic-style treatments blending traditional songs
from Fenno-Ugric peoples, from the runo-songs of Karelia through Ingria and
Estonia to a Chuvash herder’s tune, plus some composition in like vein. Female
and male vocals with jouhikko, kantele, recorder, jew’s-harp and wooden
traditional reeds, horns and whistles.
