Recorded solo in 1955 by NRK’s Rolf Myklebust, farmer Haugen, from Susendal in Helgeland (which is about half-way up Norway), plays polsdanses, reinlenders and waltzes on the ordinary fiddle, an instrument more widespread in Norway than the hardanger fiddle.
