As usual with Ocora/Radio France, a quality plunge to the heart of a living tradition, with good booklet notes. Singer Guldbrandsen and hardingfele players Bolstad and Underseth, from Valdres and Sogn, alternate solos, with Ole Aastad Bråten’s langeleik accompanying Guldbrandsen for three songs.
