GOOD PEOPLE
Rainbow Dream
Naxos World 76007-2 (2000)

16-member Finnish band having fun playing West African covers and their own in similar styles with European and Latin touches, and lead vocals from Ike Chime and Ismaila Sané. Healthily cross-cultural in a country with little multi-ethnic history and, despite platitudinous global pronouncements and naff dressing-up, largely competent if overstaffed, but little audience potential outside Finland.
