d’Eurídice DORFEU 004 CD (2012)

Full-blooded, tradition-rooted masculine vocals, percussion, reeds, flutes, hurdy-gurdy, string-drum, slapped drainpipes, invented instruments, and yes, bagpipes too, in trad, early-music and originals from oft-impressive Portuguese band. Substantial and free-wheeling, if not quite as strong as their recommended early releases Invasöes Bárbaras, Bocas Do Inferno and Macaréu.
