ALF CRANNER
Som En Rose
Kirkelig Kulturverksted FXCD 282
Burns songs recorded in a Burns haunt, the Globe Inn in Dumfries. The twist is,
Cranner sings them in Norwegian, quietly and unpretentiously, accompanied by a
top Norsk team of Knut Reiersrud, Håvar Bendiksen, Nils Økland, Arild Andersen
and Rune Arnesen. Norwegian and Burns’ Scots have kinship in rhythm and
vocabulary, and it works well. www.kkv.no
