CHICOTÉN
Pirineos Mágicos

Aragón LCD Prames MG 030 (2007)

“Diary of an Aragón and Béarn musical journey”. The music, trad-sourced, from a group featuring vocals, 3-hole flabuta, tamborin (stringed drone percussion instrument), hurdy-gurdy, accordion, fiddle, bass guitar etc., and interwoven with local sounds, has its moments but doesn’t fulfil the promise of the excellent (regionally funded) book-style packaging full of evocative photos. www.prames.com

It's not practical to give, and keep up to date, current contact details and sales sources for all the artists and labels in these reviews, but try Googling for them, and where possible buy direct from the artists.
