Do Fol continues its series of CD issues of Galician harpist-songwriter Cao’s back-catalogue with this 1985 set of reflective, romantic often sea-related imagery, in which his gentle voice, harp and guitar are accompanied by John Renbourn and others.

Do Fol DF-011 (1998)

Dono sings Emilio Cao songs, accompanied just by Manuel Gutiérrez’s piano. Her vocal style, for good or ill, is considerably reminiscent of Kate Bush’s.
