SONDRE BRATLAND
Den Blå Gleda
Kirkelig Kulturverksted FXCD 43 (2005)
Bratland is Norway’s leading singer of folksongs with religious lyrics. His
calm, unaffected, non-classical mid-tenor is always accompanied by major
musicians from the Norwegian roots, rock, jazz and classical world; in this 1983
recording Iver Kleive’s progressive church-organ blends with harp and Roar
Engelberg’s floating, non-tacky panpipes.
