Songs, an interesting and eclectic range of styles and subjects, written by veteran Benny E.Anderson, who plays piano and accordion in ingenious arrangements using a variety of instrumentation, but doesn’t sing, leaving that mainly to the versatile and impressive Maj-Britt Mogensen. Draws on some folk shapes and textures, but also European song traditions; a mature, quirkily intelligent Danish music, both reminiscent and new.
