BERIT OPHEIM VERSTO
Slåttar På Tunga
Lindberg Lyd 2L 46 (2008)
Slåttetralling is the equivalent of diddling, mouth music and lilting in
Scotland and Ireland, the voice used as a fiddle-substitute for dance music.
Berit delivers 19 slåttar (tunes), unaccompanied except for her occasional
multitracking, occasionally using words but mostly in vocables like “dadn-di-doodle-dadn-day-i-då”.
A collection, rather than an album to through-listen.
