Squeezeboxes in Norway are generally associated with foursquare gammaldans music. But on his two-row melodeon this 81-year-old Hallingdal blacksmith plays with fluidity and lift the more intricate rhythms and drones of springar and laus, which are usually the domain of hardingfele. www.kvarts.no
