Bazaarpool CD 007 (2006)

Vienna-born Persian harpist, dændji player and singer Asita Hamidi with Swedish Bazar Blå’s Björn Meyer and Fredrik Gille in classy, spacious ethno-jazz. Even assuming looping, it’s remarkable that all the sounds are made live by just a trio, including guitar-like lines from Meyer’s 6-string acoustic bass guitar, bent notes from the gucheng-like dændji and Gille’s eclectic percussion. www.bazaarpool.com
