Hungary-resident Bulgarian traditional singer with tight band Orkestar Slavia - kaval, bagpipe, gadulka, tambura, tupan - plus auxiliaries including bassists, clarinet, accordion and, briefly, Kálmán Balogh’s cimbalom. Not ground-breaking in terms of material, perhaps, but good stuff, delivered with skill and spirit, and an attractive slow-rolling sombre-ambient closing track. www.fonorecords.hu
