Harmonia Mundi Musique D’Abord HM 195389 (2010)

Re-release, in HM’s cheapo minimal-packaging series, of 1976 LP by Gregorio Paniagua led septet with material from Spain’s Caliphate era (8th-15thC) on Arabic instruments. Dully, pedestrianly played in that careful but lame old ‘early-music’ way, distantly recorded, and an oddly low-volume transfer.
