ANUBÍA
Segredo A Voces
Boa Do Fol 10002024 (2001)
Anubía are six strong young female singers in the hard-edged pandeiretera vocal
style that is making a welcome reassertion in the Galician revival. But here it
seems so much attention has been paid to the busy instrumentation, from various
Berrogüettos et al, plus predominant, boomy bass guitar and rock-obvious
drumkit, that the women sound swamped and inhibited, like guests on their own
album.
