Nufolk NF009 (2007)

Extremaduran 9-piece with very appealing tunes, from local tradition and by leader José Tomás Sousa, featuring two fine female singers. Despite the core band’s large size, here it’s the guest contributions, on Portuguese guitarra, hurdy-gurdy, cello, Spanish guitar, oud and more, that seem to add the strongest flavours. www.galileo-mc.com
